Chandigarh girl wins devotional song competition in Katra

The Ninth days long All India Devotional Song Competition in the holy township of Katra came to musical conclusion last evening with Laisal Roy from Chandigarh,bagged the prestigious first prize in Mega Final of All India Devotional Song Competition, which was jointly organized by SMVD Shrine Board,Deptt. of J&K Tourism,Mh1 in association with J&K Bank,DIVINITI,Nice Gems,Nidheesh Builders Jammu Pvt.Ltd.,Pure Roots Herbals,Vishwayatan Yog Ashram Complex with active support of District Administration and the local host community.

The function concluded amidst chanting of Bhajans,beating of drums and firing of crackers at Yog Ashram Complex last Night.

Anmol from Hoshiarpur took Second Position and 3rd position was held by Sukhjinder from Punjab in the Devotional Song competition out of 5 candidates who reached in the mega final.

In the first round Anmol Raja from Hoshiarpur,Laisel Rai from Chandigarh,Sukhjinder from Punjab,qualified for 2nd round and after the completion of 2nd round when marks were counted and result announced Laisel Roy,Anmol and Sukhjinder were winners.

Inspector General of Police,Jammu Anand Jain was Chief Guest on the occasion whereas Deputy Inspector General of Police Suleman Choudhary,Deputy Commissioner Reasi Babila Rakwal,Jt.Director Tourism Sunaina Sharma,SDM Katra Deepak Dubey,Addl.SP Katra Vipan Chandra,Capt.Murti Gupta were distinguished guests.

Noted Bollywood & Media personalities including Ganesh Jain Former SMVD Shrine Board member & Managing Director Venus World wide,Pahlaj Nihalini Former Chairman Central Board of Film Certification and film maker,Actress Mishikka Chourasia, Famous Former Actress & wife of famous actor Shatrugan Sinha,Poonam Sinha,Shankar Sahney the leading film singer,Rishi Raj Film maker,Kumar Mohan Film maker & Film Trade analyst,Vice President Zee Network Barkha Arora, CL Verma and Dr. Surinder were the judges of the mega final .

Chief Guest,Judges,Distinguished guests and Chairman Devotional Song Committee Rakesh Wazir, gave away prize worth Rs.3 lakh in the shape of gold to the first prize winner Laisel Roy ,Gold worth 1 lakh to 2nd position holder Anmol and Gold worth 50,000/- to third position holder Sukhjinder in presence of renowned singers Amrinder Bobby,Sonali Dogra,Mool Raj, Yog Acharya Swami Yoga Nand ji Maharaj,Ajay Verma Managing Nice Gems,Ajay Kotwal, Sardar Lal Dubey,Subhash Chander,Gopal Singh etc.

Chief Guest Anand Jain while speaking on the occasion said that this competition has attained good heights & complimented the organizers for the same and thanked all the people and organizations for extending their cooperation in making it a grand success and especially the people from film and media fraternity who make it a point in coming overhere and supporting it.

Joint Director Tourism Jammu,Sunaina Sharma Mehta while speaking on the occasion said that leaving aside providing plat form to the singers, the live telecast of the event all over the world,has given vast publicity to the event and Tourism of J&K and Jammu region in particularly and invited the film Industry people for film shootings overhere.

She further said that Jammu has got lot of Tourism potential and its full exploration is required and department is putting its all energies on it.

Renowned Bollywood Singers Shanker Sawhney,known for his Maha Marantugya Manter which has got record 50 crore views,Amrinder Bobby who is known for his famous songs like Botiyein ti Cha they bich kal e tu bhi jayengi etc. and Former Winners of Competition Sonali Dogra Mool Raj & Ravi Kumar who were special invitees on the occasion gave their live performances on the occasion and captivated the audience with their melodic voices & the total environment of the venue became spiritual .

On the occasion the Trailer/poster of Pahlaj Nihalani’s new coming up movie “Anari is back”which is going to be released on 24th Nov. is also released by Chief Guest in presence of the dignotories including its heroine Mishika Chourasia who too elaborated her experiences during the making of the movie and likewise the Album of the former winner of All India Devotional Song Competition Ravi Kumar titled " Maa jado da Tera Lad phadaya " too is also released on the occasion.
